The purpose of the "Rental Policies" page is to inform
our customers so that there are no "surprises" when they arrive at
the rental counter. Our goal is to provide a smooth rental process so that our
customers will get their stay in the Orlando area off to a positive start. If

PICKUP/SHUTTLE INFORMATION
- Thank you for
choosing Action Car Rental at the Orlando Airport. For immediate
pick-up, after collecting your entire luggage, please dial 240
from the airport courtesy phone located on either the Baggage Level or
on Level One (the Rental Car Level). Our complimentary courtesy shuttle
will pick you up on the Rental Car Level (Level One) within fifteen
minutes and transport you to our office located only a mile away. Please
know which side of the airport you are on (“A" or "B"
side) so that we may let you know exactly where the shuttle will meet
you.
- Action Car
Rental offer free shuttle service for pick up and drop-offs to/from
Orlando International Airport, hotels, businesses or
residences.(Geographic restrictions apply)

CANCELLATIONS
Cancellations and No Show
- Reservations are
automatically cancelled after 2 hours of expected arrival time during
off-season.
- Reservations are
automatically cancelled after 1 hour of expected arrival time during
peak-season.

If you no longer need a Action Car Rental vehicle for your
rental, please call us at (407) 240-2700 cancel on through our website at least
48 hours before the date and time of your reserved pick-up time, in order to
cancel your reservation without being subject to a $50.00 Cancellation / No
Show Fee.
EQUIPMENT
Baby Seat
- Child-restraint
seats may be available at the rental location for an additional charge of
$7.95 per day.
- Please check
availability upon arrival.
- Children younger
than 4 years of age or less than 36 inches in height must be restrained in
a child restraint.
Global Positioning System (GPS)
- GPS Navigational
System is available for $9.99 per day
GAS
Fuel Options
When renting a vehicle, our
customers have the following options for payment of the fuel used during the
rental period.
1. Pre-Paid
Fuel Option
o The
renter may purchase the Pre-Paid Fuel option at the rental counter at the time
the vehicle is rented. The Pre-Paid Fuel option is the purchase of a Full, Half
or Quarter tank of fuel. The price per gallon of the Pre-Paid Fuel option is
calculated by taking an average of the fuel costs at the pumps in the local
market. The total price of the Pre-Paid Fuel option is calculated by
multiplying the price per gallon of the Pre-Paid Fuel option by the capacity,
in gallons, of the vehicle’s fuel tank as indicated by the manufacturer. By
purchasing the Pre-Paid Fuel option as a Half Tank, the renter is only required
to return the vehicle with an amount of fuel that is ½ tank less than was
rented. By purchasing the Pre-Paid Fuel option as a Full Tank, the renter has
no obligation to refill the tank on return of the rental vehicle. When any
Pre-Paid Fuel option is purchased, there is no refund for any unused fuel
remaining in the tank on return.
2. Return
Vehicle with Same Amount of Fuel or Pay a Return Refueling Fee
o Time-saver.
Let us refuel the vehicle. This time-saving option has a small premium for
convenience of $6.95 per-gallon charge.
o To avoid
a return refueling fee, the rental vehicle must be refueled within 10 miles of
the return facility and the renter must present a fuel purchase receipt upon
return of the rental vehicle to the return facility.
GEOGRAPHIC
Geographical Limitations
- The rental
vehicle cannot be driven out of the state in which it was rented unless it
is specifically allowed by the rental location.
Mileage Cap
- Mileage
Restrictions apply to all renters.
- Local renters receive 100
free miles per day. Non-local renters receive 200 free miles per day.

Any additional miles driven within the state of Florida will be
charged at the rate of $0.29 per mile.
·
Any customer, regardless of where they are from, that is found
to have driven our rental vehicle outside of the state of Florida, unless
prohibited by law, will be held responsible for any roadside service
assistance, all repairs, all tire changes, all damages, including loss of use,
should the vehicle be damaged in an accident, stolen or vandalized. This is the
case regardless of fault. Whether who is at fault in the accident, the renter
may be asked to pay for the damage and/or repairs up to and including the total
cost of replacing the vehicle in case of a total wreck or loss, plus will
receive no complimentary mileage and will be charged $1.09 per mile from the
first mile driven.
INSURANCE
Accepting Coverage
- Coverage accepted
at the time of pick up cannot be removed from the rental agreement unless
the renter returns to the rental counter, has the vehicle checked by the
car rental staff and signs for the coverage to be removed.
Declining Coverage
- The renter will
be solely responsible for the vehicle itself and any third party claims
made against it.
- Please check with
your insurance agent for more information about your state coverage
requirements as they compare with the state that you are traveling to.
LDW
- LDW (Loss Damage
Waiver) is not insurance. This coverage eliminates the renter and/or any
authorized drivers financial responsibility if the vehicle is involved in
an accident as long as the terms and conditions of the rental agreement
have not been violated.
- If the terms and
conditions are violated, LDW is void and the renter is fully responsible
for all costs associated with the repair of the rental vehicle and any
related fees.
- If you decline LDW,
you may be responsible for up to the full market value of the car in the
event of an accident. If involved in an accident, you must contact your
insurance company and obtain a claim number.
- LDW does not
cover any 3rd Parties or Unauthorized drivers.
- Theft, glass,
tires, acts of God & fees associated with the collection of the
damages are not covered.
- If the rental
vehicle is damaged or you are involved in an accident/incident, you must
contact the local Police Department and obtain an accident report. Failure
to obtain an accident report will void LDW.
- LDW has a
deductible of $1000 and price starts at $24.99/day.
PDW
- This optional
coverage will only cover the renter and/or any authorized drivers personal
insurance deductible up to a maximum amount of five hundred dollars.
- The renter and/or
any authorized driver understand that they still must submit a claim to
their insurance carrier for the full amount of the claim if it exceeds
their deductible.
- PDW starts at $9.99/day.
SLI
- Supplemental
Liability Coverage protects the renter and/or any authorized drivers
against claims made by a third party for bodily injury and/or property
damage sustained as a result of an accident while operating a rental up to
$100,000.
- This coverage is
in excess to the renter and/or any authorized drivers own automobile
liability insurance and over the underlying insurance specified within
your signed rental agreement.
- SLI is subject to
the terms and conditions of the rental agreement.
- SLI is priced at
$14.99/day.
RENTERS
Local Renters
- For those
customers who do not have a return airline boarding pass or reservation,
the following policies apply:
- Payment Type – Check
Card, Prepaid Card, Debit Card with a VISA/MC logo or Cash Deposit.
- The primary
driver must provide proof of full coverage comprehensive insurance in
order to decline coverage.
- By purchasing of
our Loss Damage Waiver (LDW) or Partial Damage Waiver (PDW), a charge of
$150 over the estimated total will be taken at the time of pickup.
- By declining
our Loss Damage Waiver (LDW) or Partial Damage Waiver (PDW), a minimum
charge of $350 over the estimated total will be taken at the time of
pickup.
- Cardholder must
be present with his/her credit card at the time of rental and be listed
on the rental contract as an authorized driver.
- Cash rentals to
United States residents, we must be able to verify proof of residency in
the form of a utility bill with the renter's name on it.
- The deposit
will be credited back to the account upon return of the vehicle and
satisfactory settlement of the charges within ten (10) business days.
- We must

Credit Card
- For Major
Credit Cards, a hold of $350 or 35% over the estimated total, whichever
is greater, will be taken at the time of pickup.
Domestic Renters
- For those
customers who are not local renters, but reside within the United States,
Canada or Puerto Rico, the following policies apply. Additional
restrictions will apply for renters under the age of 25. Please see
Underage Rental Policies.
- Payment Type –
Check Card, Prepaid Card, Debit Card with a VISA/MC logo or Cash Deposit.
- The primary
driver must provide proof of full coverage comprehensive insurance in

- By purchasing

Card, Prepaid Card, Debit Card with a VISA/MC logo or Cash Deposit.
- The primary
driver must provide proof of full coverage insurance for the United
States in English in order to decline LDW and SLI.
- If proof of
Collision Insurance only is provided, then SLI must be accepted.
- If proof of
Liability Coverage only is provided, then LDW must be accepted.
- If no proof of
coverage is provided, LDW and SLI must be accepted.
- The rental
location will make a copy of the primary driver passport that shows an
entry stamp into the United States within the past twenty eight (28)
days.
- The rental location
will make a copy of the primary driver license.
- A hold in the
amount of the estimated total plus $200 will be taken at the time of
pickup.
ONE WAY
Drop Charge
- This fee is
assessed for renting a car at one rental location and returning it to a
different rental location.
- The cost of this
fee varies depending on drop location and time of year.

- We do not accept key
chain credit cards. We must be able to make an imprint of the raised name
and numbers on the credit card in order to accept it.
RESERVATIONS
Confirmation Number
- Your confirmation
number is the number that you are given once your reservation has been
confirmed. This number can be used to gain access to your reservation
information, including your rates, or your rental information once you
have picked up the vehicle.
Guarantee
- Your reservation
guarantees a car at the rate, date and time that you reserved it for. It
does not guarantee a specific make and model of a vehicle, nor can it
guarantee a reservation for another date.
- Please inform us
of any delays that you encounter on your trip. During peak season,
reservations will be held for one hour past your pick up time and during
off-peak season reservations will be held for two hours.
Making a Reservation
- You can make a
reservation here on our website.
- You can also call
our reservation center at 407-240-2700.
Min and Max Rental Length
- The maximum
rental length is 28 days, while the minimum rental length is 1 day. Rates
are calculated based on a calendar day clock with a 12 hour grace period,
once this clock has gone past 12 PM (noon) hour period, another day will
be charged.
Rates Offered
- We offer weekly
and daily rates. The shortest amount of time that a vehicle can be rented
for is 1 day. We do not offer hourly or weekend rates at this time.
- Rates are calculated
on a “calendar day” basis. Vehicles are due back by noon (12PM) on the
return date specified on the rental contract.
- No early return refunds
on prepaid rentals. .
Rental Extensions
- A rental
agreement can be extended over the phone if the rental was secured with a
credit card and that specific credit card has been authorized for 35% over
the new estimated total. However, if the rental was secured with a debit
card or if the credit card on file does not have enough to authorize, the
renter must come into the rental location in order to extend the contract.
See the specific location for more details concerning extensions.
RULES
Additional Driver
- The charge for
additional authorized drivers is $7.99 per day, per additional driver.
- For those renters
who make a reservation directly with Action Car Rental either by making
the reservation at www.actionrac.com or by calling us directly at 407-240-2700,
the additional driver fee will be discounted for the following:
- The renter’s
spouse
- The renter’s
mate, life partner, or similar
- This can be
shown by having the same address on the additional driver’s / renter’s
driver’s license.
- To receive the
additional driver discount, the renter must have made a reservation with Action
Car Rental prior to arrival at the rental counter and have received a
confirmation number which begins with MCO, IDR, BAR.
- To qualify as an
additional authorized driver, the additional driver must meet all rental
qualifications as the primary renter. The following are additional
requirements for additional authorized drivers:
- All additional
authorized drivers must be present at the rental counter and sign the
rental agreement as an additional authorized driver.
- All additional
drivers must present a valid Driver’s license.
- For renters
under the age of 25, all additional charges and restrictions apply. See
Underage Policies.
- Exceptions
- For disabled
renters who are accompanied by an authorized driver, the additional
driver fee will be waived on all rentals.
The additional driver policies
may vary in each Action Car Rental location. Please be sure to view the
policies of the location from which you will be renting.
Drivers License
- The renter must
have in his/her immediate possession a valid and current driver license
issued by his/her respective department of motor vehicles. In order for
the license to be valid, it must pass the following:
- The license must
not be expired.
- The license must
match the renter who is renting the vehicle.
- If the license
uses a P.O. Box as an address, a physical address must be supplied upon
renting the vehicle.
- The name on the
driver license must match exactly the imprinted name on the credit card.
Modifications
- We hold the right
to change these posted policies and procedures at any time.
Parking
Ticket Violations
- The primary
renter is responsible for all tickets/violations issued to the rental
vehicle and must pay these violations to the authorities that issued the
ticket.
- A $50.00
administration fee will be assessed for each ticket/violation.
Underage
- Minimum age for
renting a vehicle is 18.
- The fees for
underage renters are as follows:
- $12.00/day: 21 -
24 years old renting non-specialty vehicles (see FAQs)
- $20.00/day: 18 -
20 years old renting non-specialty vehicles (see FAQs)
- $20.00/day: 18 -
24 years old renting specialty vehicles (see FAQs)
- Underage Drivers
are not permitted to rent Luxury Vehicles.
No Smoking
- All of our
vehicles are NON-SMOKING. Any customer who smokes or lets one of their
passengers smoke in a vehicle they have rented from us is subject to a
smoking and deodorizing cleanup fee of at least $50.00, will apply if
smoking is detected.
TAXES/FEES
Airport Access Fee
- This fee is what
we pay to the airport for airport access fees.
Sales Tax
- This is the sales
tax for the state, county and city fees.
Florida State Surcharge
- This surcharge is
dependent on the state in which the vehicle is rented in and is paid to
the state for all rental vehicles.
VLRF
- Vehicle License
Recoupment Fee - This is a fee for the recoupment of vehicle licensing
fees that we pay.

Information disclaimer
- The rates on this
website are often heavily discounted. The rates that you obtain from this
site are lower than rates you may obtain from our offices directly because
no employees are involved in the automated process of issuing a quote or
making a reservation. Other discounts, coupons or promotions may not be
combined, unless they are obtained from this site. On very rare occasions,
a rate may be displayed incorrectly due to our error. In such a case, if
you book with us at a quoted rate that is incorrect, we will notify you of
any price change and give you the option to proceed or cancel. We make
every effort to keep information on our site up to date, but we cannot
guarantee this website is free of errors or omissions and retain the right
to update or change the information published at any time.
